The Lost Tapes

Songs from the MySpace era, finally given a permanent home. First up: YOUTH from Bedfordshire, once supported by Tom Grennan's band The Jebs.

The Lost Tapes is a collection of songs from the MySpace era: demos and EPs from independent bands who built a following online and then lost the recordings when MySpace lost its music. Each release here is back online for good, put up by the people who made it, with the story of the band alongside it.

In 2019 MySpace admitted that a server migration had wiped the music uploaded to it between 2003 and 2015. For a lot of unsigned bands, that was the only place their demos lived.

If you were in a band back then and still have the files on an old hard drive or a CD-R, The Lost Tapes is open. Email dan@getinsound.com.
