YOUTH were a band from Bedfordshire, and I was in it. We went through four names in about two years. We started out as abandcalledlola, cut it down to Lola, became YOUTH, and finished as Lucid before we split up.
Our launch show was at Charlie Brown's in Luton, back when it was still open. The support that night was The Jebs, the band Tom Grennan was in before his solo career.
From there we gigged all over Bedfordshire and London, supported some bigger names and played a few local festivals. We played the Vaccines after party, reached the semi-finals of a national Battle of the Bands, and made it onto BBC Three Counties Introducing. All of it happened inside those two years.
We recorded This Time, I Was Right at Chapel Studios. Our demos went up on MySpace, and when MySpace lost its music they went with it. The EP is the first release in The Lost Tapes, back online for good.
